What is the longest distance dogs and cats can travel?

Recently in the USA, a Labrador traveled 92 km to return to its old home. Is this a record?

The story of the Labrador is more of an exception. It is quite difficult for a dog to find its way. It does not have an "internal compass" like a cat: if left outside without its owner, it will not understand where to go and will either get lost or wait where it was separated. The limit of orientation for dogs is 10–15 km. A cat, with its "road" intuition, can easily cover 200 km in a few days. But it can also travel thousands of kilometers.

Zoologists believe that cats have a sense of "direction home." It is possible that they, like birds, pick up the Earth's magnetic fields and head in the right direction – as if humans could see the parallels and meridians drawn on the ground. It is also said that a cat remembers the path it once took for life.
