How to Protect Plants from Diseases with Baking Soda

Every experienced gardener always has a supply of baking soda, as this powder can be useful in plant care.

Baking soda can help protect plants from common diseases. How to do this?

Against Powdery Mildew

This method is suitable for both prevention and treatment of the disease. For this, you need to take a bucket of water and dissolve four tablespoons of baking soda in it.

Then add a little liquid soap.

The solution is ready for use immediately.

If the plants are already infected, the treatment should be repeated every 5 days.

Phytophthora and Gray Mold

Baking soda also helps deal with two common diseases. Phytophthora most often affects tomatoes, while gray mold is encountered in grapes.

For this, it is necessary to dissolve three tablespoons of baking soda in 10 liters of water with a small amount of household soap. It is important to treat every leaf of the plants.

After planting, you need to wait 14 days and start the first treatment. Subsequently, spraying is done once a week.
