The doctor explained which parts of chicken should not be consumed daily

Chicken is easy to prepare, tasty and filling, and also contains few calories. Moreover, this meat is beneficial for the body, especially if you know which parts of the bird are preferable.

Chicken meat is the most popular in the world. It pairs well with vegetables, various side dishes, and is also used in salads, pies, and other dishes.

Moreover, this meat is easily digestible for both adults and children. According to doctor Alexander Umnov, chicken meat can indeed be eaten every day, reports Doctorpiter.

Health benefits

Chicken meat contains:

vitamins A, B, C, H;

potassium;

magnesium;

zinc;

iron;

phosphorus.

“The fattier parts, such as thighs, contribute to skin rejuvenation and strengthen nails and hair due to the saturated acids they are rich in,” the expert notes.

When talking about other types of meat, it is worth noting that they do not have the same beneficial effect as chicken, as they can have an oxidizing effect on the body. Fried beef, pork, or lamb can contribute to inflammatory processes and skin aging. This does not mean that one should completely give up red meat — eat it, but in moderation, the specialist clarifies.

Many know that chicken is a dietary meat that will not add extra pounds, especially if cooked properly — for example, stewed or baked.

“If you do not want to eat other types of meat or fatty parts of chicken — thighs or drumsticks with skin, I recommend including chicken breast and shrimp more often in your diet. Chicken meat has more trace elements and vitamins, while seafood has more macronutrients. This way, you can balance the levels of sodium, potassium, phosphorus, sulfur, and fatty acids in the body,” says Alexander Umnov.

By-products — a separate topic

No one doubts the benefits of meat; however, chicken by-products require caution and should not be included in the daily diet.

For example, chicken lungs and the tail contain many parasites and harmful bacteria that are not destroyed even with thorough frying or baking. Harmful substances can accumulate in chicken heads, which also do not disappear after cooking.

An exception is fresh chicken liver, which is rich in copper, vitamin B12, and iron. Despite all its beneficial properties, liver should be consumed in moderation.

“This by-product contains a lot of cholesterol, which can harm people with kidney diseases, stomach ulcers, or gastritis. It is also important to remember that chicken liver should not be given to children under three years old,” emphasizes Alexander Umnov.

Another important point: chicken liver contains a lot of vitamin A, which strengthens the immune system, supports visual acuity, and promotes the production of collagen, responsible for skin elasticity and smoothness.

However, an excess of this vitamin can lead to poisoning with unpleasant consequences:

* dizziness;

* migraine;

* nausea.

Moreover, excessive doses of vitamin A negatively affect the brain and can cause the destruction of bone tissue in adults, and in children, it can slow growth. Therefore, it is extremely important not to overindulge in products that you particularly like — take care of your health, concluded the doctor.
