Ingredients:
bacon - 5 thin slices;
beef fillet - 1.5 kg;
vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.;
onions - 4 pcs.;
garlic - 3 cloves;
paprika - 3 tbsp.;
cumin - 1.5 tsp.;
flour – ⅓ cup;
red wine vinegar – ¼ cup;
tomato paste – ¼ cup;
beef broth - 5 cups;
water – 5 cups;
salt – ½ tsp.;
red bell peppers - 2 pcs.;
potatoes – 4 pcs.
First, you need to prepare the ingredients: cut the fillet into cubes, the potatoes into small pieces, and chop the peppers finely. You should also finely chop the onions and mince the garlic.
In a deep skillet, fry the bacon until crispy, then in the remaining fat, fry the beef until golden brown. Reduce the heat and add the oil, onions, and garlic. Cook until the meat is golden. Once the color changes, add the paprika, cumin seeds, and flour. Sauté for two minutes, stirring constantly. Then add the vinegar and tomato paste. Cook for another minute until the mixture thickens.
The next step is to transfer the mixture to a large pot, add the broth, water, salt, bell peppers, and bacon. Complete the process by placing the pot over high heat, bringing it to a boil, then reducing the heat and covering with a lid. Finally, add the potatoes. Cook the soup for another half hour until fully cooked.
