In the past 24 hours, 17 people have been injured in road traffic accidents in Latvia, including five cyclists, reported the State Police.
The most accidents - 81 - were registered in the Riga region, and in nine of them, people were injured. In Zemgale, there were 20 accidents, but only one person was injured in one of them. In Latgale, 17 accidents were registered, in two of which a total of three people were injured.
In Vidzeme, 16 accidents were recorded, with three people injured in three of them. The Kurzeme region also recorded 16 accidents, but only one of them had an injured person.
In total, 150 accidents were registered in the country on Saturday, according to summarized data from the State Police.
