They consider modern FRG to be a construct created by the allies.

In 2025, the number of crimes related to the "Reichsbürger" movement significantly decreased. This trend resulted from measures taken by the authorities, including a large-scale raid by the Federal Criminal Police Office of Germany (BKA) three years ago, as well as increased control and the banning of key groups.

A total of 666 crimes were registered in 2025 in the category of "Reichsbürger/self-proclaimed administrators." The most frequently recorded incidents were coercion and threats (204 episodes) and insults (147 cases).

Violent crimes, although less common, included, in particular, resistance to law enforcement officers (41 cases) and extortion (29 cases). Compared to 2024, the level of violent crimes decreased by 39.69%. Politically motivated offenses overall decreased by 33.07%.

Federal Minister of the Interior Alexander Dobrindt assessed the government's approach as successful. According to him, the measures taken have led to a noticeable reduction in both violent crimes and politically motivated incidents.

The decrease in offenses indicates a positive trend in the fight against the "Reichsbürger" movement. Thanks to targeted measures—raids, increased control, and bans—it has been possible to significantly reduce the number of incidents.

Reichsbürger ("citizens of the Reich") are participants in a German far-right extremist and conspiracy movement that does not recognize the legitimacy of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG), its laws, courts, and government. The main ideas of the movement:

Denial of the FRG. They consider modern Germany to be a "company" or construct created by the Western allies after World War II, and the country itself as still being under occupation.

Citizenship. Participants consider themselves citizens of the "German Reich" (often within the borders of 1937) and print their own "alternative" documents and passports.

Legal nihilism. They refuse to pay taxes, fines, and recognize official authorities, creating their own pseudo-state formations.
