The Star Has Gone Out. The Killer of the Famous Singer Sentenced to 10 Years in Colony

The Kaspiysk City Court sentenced a resident of Makhachkala who killed Dagestani singer Talisman Omarova. The man fatally beat the woman with a frying pan during an argument. However, at the hearing, the defendant did not admit his guilt.

Grabbed the Frying Pan

According to the materials, the crime occurred on May 20, 2025, in the singer's apartment in Kaspiysk. During a gathering, a conflict arose between her and the defendant. The man grabbed a glass bottle of cognac and struck the woman several times on the head and face, after which he continued the beating with a metal frying pan. As a result of the multiple head injuries sustained, the victim died at the scene.

During the court hearing, the defendant did not admit guilt.

“However, the testimony he provided during the preliminary investigation, as well as the totality of the collected evidence, including the results of genetic examinations, were deemed sufficient by the court to establish the man's guilt in the crime charged against him,” the united press service of the courts of Dagestan reported.

In determining the sentence, the court took into account the aggravating circumstance of the crime being committed by the defendant while under the influence of alcohol, as well as mitigating circumstances — the defendant's assistance in solving the crime and his having two minor children.

The man was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment in a strict regime correctional colony. The sentence has not yet entered into legal force and can be appealed in the Supreme Court of Dagestan.

Sang in Avar Language

Talisman Omarova's creative career began in 2010. She became known in Dagestan as a talented singer performing songs in the Avar language.

The artist sang such compositions as “Flame of Love,” “You Left Me,” “Come Back,” “My Soul Weeps,” “Cherish Love,” “Thirst for Love,” and “There Was No You.”

Omarova released about two albums in total. She also frequently performed at major events in Kaspiysk and Makhachkala, and was invited to national weddings. She was loved for her spontaneity and pure voice, as Talisman could take on even difficult tones without a backing track.

Offstage, her fate was filled with difficulties in her personal life and professional sphere.

Killed with Scissors

A similar incident occurred in Kaspiysk on April 19, 2026. Around three o'clock in the morning, the police received a report that neighbors had discovered the body of a 41-year-old local woman showing signs of violent death in one of the apartments.

It turned out that during a gathering in the apartment, the woman and her ex-husband had a quarrel. At some point, the man grabbed a pair of scissors lying on the table and struck the woman in the head several times. She died from the injuries before medical personnel arrived.

According to preliminary information, the attacker may have been under the influence of both alcohol and drugs. Additionally, the deceased left behind two children. According to unconfirmed reports, the deceased woman was pregnant.

Dagestan investigators have opened a criminal case for “Murder” against the man. He was detained and gave a confession.
