The State Police will evaluate the responsibility of the author of the video of the traffic accident that occurred on Saturday in the Prauliena municipality of the Madona region, reports Otkrito.lv.
On Saturday evening, several videos showing the accident scene, damaged vehicles, and the injured spread widely on social media and messaging apps.
As seen in the video, it was filmed by a man who was passing by the scene, stopped to assess the situation, and recorded it. The footage shows the author walking around two wrecked cars, looking at the injured, one of whom was still moving, but he did not immediately provide first aid, although he promised to do so.
In another video, several other cars can be seen stopping at the scene, and people are inspecting the accident site.
According to the Criminal Code, a person is obliged to assist someone in a life-threatening condition.
It was previously reported that three people died in a tragic traffic accident in the Prauliena municipality of the Madona region.
