The Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB) is conducting searches at the "Ogre District Hospital" and the Liepaja Regional Hospital on Tuesday, according to LETA.
As reported by LETA, the procedural actions are being carried out as part of an investigation conducted in cooperation with the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO).
The EPPO is the European Union's prosecution body responsible for investigating crimes against the financial interests of the EU, initiating criminal proceedings, and bringing them to court. Such crimes include various types of fraud, money laundering, corruption, and other offenses.
