Three people were killed and five others were injured in a school shooting in the Philippines. Police have arrested two suspects, one of whom is a 15-year-old student of the institution.
The tragedy occurred in the morning at the National High School of San Jose in Tacloban City, Philippines. According to the police, the shooting began around 9 a.m. local time, as reported by NOS.
As a result of the attack, three people were killed, and five others were injured to varying degrees. All the injured were taken to hospitals. The identities of the deceased and the injured have not yet been disclosed pending official notification of their relatives.
Law enforcement agencies reported the arrest of two suspects. One of them is a 15-year-old student of the school. Both detainees were armed with handguns.
According to local media, one possible motive for the attack could be bullying of one of the suspects. However, the police emphasize that the investigation is ongoing, and no official conclusions about the motives of the crime have been made yet.
