On Friday, for security reasons, six foreign nationals were denied entry into Latvia, reports the State Border Guard, according to LETA.
Entry into Latvia has been prohibited for four citizens of Bulgaria, one citizen of Moldova, and one citizen of Kazakhstan.
During immigration control at the Riga Airport border checkpoint, a citizen of Russia flying to the Netherlands was detained after presenting border guards with a fake Polish identity card, as well as a citizen of Somalia who presented a fake Belgian identity card.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding the use of counterfeit documents.
