He was assisted in collecting money by criminal authorities.
The head of a correctional colony in the Leningrad region has been detained for taking bribes. He teamed up with a dangerous criminal to receive money from inmates in exchange for privileges.
According to "Baza," investigators, together with FSB officers, conducted searches at the head of IK-4 for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, Colonel Pavel Mikhailov. As operatives established, he received money from convicted individuals to overlook violations of the regime — for example, for the use of mobile phones or the transfer of prohibited products.

Additionally, harsh conditions of detention were created for some inmates, forcing them to pay. This scheme was implemented by the head of the correctional facility in collaboration with an accomplice close to well-known organized crime groups Konstantin Yakovlev (Mogily) and Aslan Usayan (Ded Khasan).
The accomplice turned out to be Stanislav Tyurin, a convict from the same colony, known as a record-holder for acquittals.

He has been repeatedly accused of organizing contract killings, but he received actual punishment only in 2016. The court sentenced Tyurin to 23 years in prison for the contract killing of realtor Valentina Raevskaya and the brutal murder of the director of the Leather Factory, Anatoly Golikov.
According to the investigation, possessing authority among the criminal community, Tyurin assisted the head of IK Mikhailov in collecting money from inmates. Currently, 443,000 rubles are known to have been received through this scheme.
A criminal case has been initiated. The head of the colony has been placed under house arrest at least until February 4.
