The question regarding the origin of the funds for the property was ignored by the happy people.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is investigating the origin of the funds used by a judicial-prosecutorial family to acquire elite real estate in Bukovel. This was reported by hromadske, which previously published a corresponding investigation.

"Following hromadske's investigation into the property of the family of Igor Grabets, the Deputy Head of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, and Svetlana Grabets, a judge of the Economic Court of Kyiv Region, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau is conducting an investigation," the statement said.

The NABU noted that at the time the request was received, the Bureau was conducting information and analytical work to verify the information presented in the mentioned journalistic investigation.

"They also added that providing the remaining requested information to journalists is impossible considering part 1 of Article 222 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine (information from a pre-trial investigation can only be disclosed with the written permission of the investigator or prosecutor and to the extent they deem possible)," hromadske writes.

The investigation mentioned, in particular, that the Grabets family acquired real estate in Bukovel in 2023. The market value of two different apartments in two different hotel complexes is nearly 550,000 dollars.

This is the minimum price for this real estate. The question regarding the origin of the funds for the property was ignored by the family in their responses.

Additionally, Igor and Svetlana Grabets indicate in their property declarations that since December 2019, they have been using a house with an area of 286 sq. m, which belongs to the judge's father.

hromadske also found out that this house is located in an elite gated cottage community, Riviera Zoloche, near Kyiv. The property in this cottage community was purchased by the judge's father in May 2019.

Journalists were able to establish that in early 2022, before the full-scale invasion of Russia, a similar residence in the neighboring area of Zoloche was being sold on the developer's website for nearly half a million dollars. This price was without renovation, the journalists noted.

Recall that four deputies in Kharkiv, Lviv, and Cherkasy regions were informed of suspicion for inaccurate declaration of property and income amounting to nearly 29 million hryvnias.
