53-летней Монтян теперь некуда податься.

This entails a ban on interaction with the media, posting information on the internet, organizing public events.

Ukrainian journalist, lawyer, blogger, and publicist Tatyana Montyan has been included in the list of terrorists and extremists by Rosfinmonitoring. The agency officially announced this on its website.

"Montyan Tatyana Nikolaevna, born on August 29, 1972, in Kerch, Crimea region of the Ukrainian SSR," reads the entry in the registry.

The reasons for Montyan's inclusion in the list were not specified by Rosfinmonitoring. Meanwhile, the head of the League of Safe Internet, Ekaterina Mizulina, commenting on Montyan's new status, stated that she had previously received appeals regarding the discrediting of the army in the blogger's publications.

"We sent a corresponding appeal to the Ministry of Internal Affairs," Mizulina reported on her Telegram channel.

Observers remind that inclusion in the Rosfinmonitoring registry entails a ban on interaction with the media, posting information on the internet, organizing public events, participating in elections, and using most financial services, apart from paying taxes and receiving salaries.

Tatyana Montyan moved from Ukraine to Russia in 2021. She began writing columns for RT and appearing on federal channels. The journalist is known for her sharp criticism of the Kyiv authorities; the Security Service of Ukraine has opened a criminal case against her under four articles, including collaborationist activities and encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.

In December 2015, she was added to the database of the "Peacemaker" website. According to the site, Montyan provides legal assistance to separatists.

At Russia's invitation, she spoke at the UN Security Council as a civil activist at a meeting on February 17, 2022, dedicated to the war in the eastern regions of Ukraine and the implementation of the Minsk agreements. In her speech, she expressed the Russian perspective on the events surrounding Ukraine. Her participation became known only a day before the meeting, although the invited speakers were announced at the beginning of the month.

She justifies Russia's war with Ukraine, including the full-scale invasion. The Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine accuses Tatyana Montyan of calls for the overthrow of Ukrainian power, encroachment on territorial integrity, and denial of Russian aggression. According to the investigation, Montyan left for Russia in 2021, appears on Russian TV and through her video channels, where she supports the war against Ukraine, releasing propaganda videos in support of the Putin regime.
