In May, the number of apartments put up for sale in Riga increased by 4% compared to April. However, the supply still significantly lags behind last year's level, according to the market review data from Arco Real Estate.
In May, the total supply of apartments in Riga increased by 4% compared to April, while in the largest neighborhoods of the capital, the growth was 3%. In the largest neighborhoods of Riga, 1,145 apartments were sold in May, while 952 listings were available in the city center.
Despite the increase compared to the previous month, the volume of supply remains significantly below last year's level. Compared to May 2025, the total number of apartments put up for sale has decreased by 18%, and in the largest neighborhoods, by 30%.
The company notes that since the beginning of the year, supply has been gradually increasing; however, the market has not yet returned to last year's figures. For comparison, in May 2025, more than 1,600 apartments were sold in the largest neighborhoods of Riga.
The most apartments were put up for sale in Aģenskalns in May — 181 properties. The smallest number of listings was recorded in Bolderāja, where only 21 apartment was sold.
Throughout the month, the situation in different areas varied. The most significant increase in supply was registered in Mežciems, where the number of apartments put up for sale increased by 37%. In turn, the most noticeable decrease occurred in Bolderāja — by 28%.
Considering the size of the neighborhoods and the population, the highest level of supply remains in Aģenskalns. Bolderāja, on the contrary, retains its status as the area with the lowest number of available apartments relative to the number of residents.
