Most residents of Latvia are following news about the financial situation of the national airline airBaltic and perceive it with concern. This was shown by a survey conducted by the program TV3 "900 seconds".
According to the results of the study, 60% of residents aged 18 to 65 admitted that they are worried about news regarding the airline's financial difficulties.
At the same time, 15% of respondents stated that the situation worries them "to a great extent," another 25% said "to a certain extent," while 20% noted that they feel a slight concern.
Meanwhile, nearly a third of respondents — 30% — reported that the financial problems of airBaltic do not worry them at all.
Another 5% of survey participants admitted that they are not informed about the situation surrounding the airline, and the same number did not provide a specific answer.
Interest in the financial condition of airBaltic remains high, as the company plays an important role in Latvia's transportation system and is one of the largest employers in the country's aviation sector.
Moreover, discussions about state investments, development strategies, and business sustainability amid high competition and fluctuations in the tourism sector regularly arise around the airline.
For many residents, the situation surrounding airBaltic is linked not only to air travel but also to issues of the economy, budget, and Latvia's international accessibility.
