The level of registered unemployment in Latvia at the end of November this year was 4.8% of the economically active population, which is 0.1 percentage points higher than the previous month, according to published data from the State Employment Agency (SEA), reports LETA.
As of the end of November 2025, there were 41,671 registered unemployed individuals in the State Employment Agency (SEA) — 817 more than the previous month, when the agency reported 40,854 unemployed individuals.
The lowest level of registered unemployment at the end of November remained in the Riga region — 3.6% of the economically active population, which corresponds to the figure from the previous month. The highest unemployment rate was in Latgale — 9.8%, which is 0.1 percentage points higher than the previous month.
In Kurzeme, the registered unemployment rate increased by 0.1 percentage points in November, reaching 5% of the economically active population.
In Zemgale, registered unemployment rose by 0.2 percentage points in November, reaching 4.5% by the end of the month, while in Vidzeme, it increased by 0.1 percentage points, reaching 4.3%.
At the end of 2024, the level of registered unemployment in Latvia was 5.3% of the economically active population.
