Trump opened the fair for the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence and hinted at new military campaigns.

"How good are our armed forces? How good is our army? We took care of Iran in a week. Venezuela in an hour. I believe we have a few more things up our sleeve, but we shouldn't get carried away," said Donald Trump at the opening of the "Great American State Fair," dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the country’s independence.

During his speech, the president spoke about a "historic agreement" with Iran, which, according to him, brought peace to the Middle East for the first time in 3,000 years. Trump also promised a soon-to-come drop in gasoline prices in the U.S. to pre-war levels.

Trump, as reported by RTVI US, called the U.S. the "hottest" country in the world, which is "respected everywhere" and over which "no one laughs anymore." He talked about tourists who came for the World Cup and fell in love with the U.S.

At the opening of the event, the U.S. national anthem was performed by political commentator and country singer Alexis Wilkins, the girlfriend of FBI Director Cash Patel. The fair itself on the National Mall in Washington opens on June 25 and will last until July 10. It marks the beginning of events for the 250th anniversary of the U.S. All American states and territories will be represented through exhibitions from each region. Visitors will be able to enjoy family rides, visit film screening areas, and attend concerts.
