Bloomberg: Allies of Kyiv are working on a diplomatic scenario for ending the war

Bloomberg reports on the development of a plan by Ukraine's partners to involve Putin in negotiations to end the war.

Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, together with Ukraine, are discussing possible steps to engage Russia in the negotiation process aimed at ending the war. This is reported by Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the consultations.

According to the agency, representatives of the three largest economies in Europe are discussing the format of possible negotiations involving Moscow and Kyiv. This issue has also already been discussed with the Ukrainian side.

Bloomberg's sources note that the consultations are still at a preliminary stage, and the details of the potential negotiation process are still being worked out.

At the same time, the agency's interlocutors emphasize that the final decision on whether to continue attempts to organize negotiations with Russia rests with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to sources, European allies do not intend to pressure Kyiv or impose a settlement strategy on the Ukrainian leadership that it does not agree with.

As Bloomberg notes, representatives of the French and British governments did not provide immediate comments regarding the publication, while a representative of the German government declined to comment.

It is expected that in the coming days, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will hold talks with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and French President Emmanuel Macron. One of the topics of discussion may be further coordination of efforts by European countries to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

According to Bloomberg, key European allies of Kyiv have intensified discussions on possible diplomatic mechanisms to end the war. However, the issue of starting the negotiation process remains complex, and final decisions will depend on both Ukraine's position and the willingness of the parties to engage in dialogue.
