Following the shooting at the dinner with Donald Trump, Buckingham Palace will hold additional consultations regarding the security of King Charles's upcoming visit to the USA, a representative of Buckingham Palace reported.
The state visit of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla to the USA is set to take place next week — from April 27 to April 30. However, the palace has now stated that it will hold several additional consultations with American colleagues to determine whether the recent events will affect the travel plans.
"The King is fully aware of what is happening and was greatly relieved to learn that the President, the First Lady, and all the guests were unharmed," emphasized Buckingham Palace.
Trump himself promised the royal couple a "wonderful banquet dinner" and admitted that he is looking forward to the meeting.
