NATO Declares 'Flow of Weapons' from the U.S. to Ukraine

There are no signs of a decrease in efforts to supply American weapons for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, assured the head of NATO's Military Committee.

There are no signs of a decrease in efforts to supply American weapons for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, assured the head of NATO's Military Committee. Currently, there are no indications of a reduction in the flow of American weapons for the Ukrainian army under the PURL initiative. This was stated by the head of NATO's Military Committee, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine on Friday, April 24. "PURL is working. That is, the flow is ongoing. There are no signs of a decrease in efforts. Countries are paying for systems, weapons for Ukraine, which are supplied by the United States. They are already here or on their way to Ukraine. So there is no reduction in this (flow - ed.)," he stated during the Kyiv Security Forum (KSF). Dragone emphasized that currently, "there is no indication or signs that it will decrease." Recall that in 2025, the total amount of contributions under the PURL initiative amounted to $4.3 billion. The filling of two more aid packages is currently ongoing. Earlier, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that Ukraine receives 90% of missiles for air defense through PURL. PURL is a joint program of the U.S. and NATO, launched in 2025 to expedite the delivery of critically important American-made weapons and equipment to Ukraine. Partner countries finance purchases based on a priority list of Ukraine's needs, coordinating contributions through a special NATO fund. This allows for the rapid acquisition of necessary armaments, including missiles for Patriot and HIMARS, directly from U.S. Army stockpiles. As of the end of 2025, 24 countries had joined the program.
