Previous Acts of Vandalism
Last summer, Jerusalem witnessed another act of vandalism. Unknown perpetrators desecrated the sacred stones of the Western Wall by inscribing a pro-Palestinian slogan on them. A shocking statement about a “holocaust in the Gaza Strip” appeared on the historic monument.
The Rabbi of the Western Wall and Holy Sites, Shmuel Rabinovich, strongly condemned the actions of these vandals. He emphasized that holy sites should never be used for political protests under any circumstances. The rabbi called for an immediate investigation into this incident to find and bring the perpetrators to justice.
