Trump was surprised by the refusal of Australia, Japan, and South Korea to help in the war with Iran.
US President Donald Trump stated that he was surprised by the refusal of Australia, Japan, and South Korea to assist the United States in the war with Iran. His words were reported in an interview with Sky News Australia.
"I’m very surprised. (...) Participate. I was a little surprised that they said 'no,' while we always say 'yes' to them," the American leader said.
At the same time, the president did not specify what exactly the aforementioned countries should participate in.
Earlier, Trump reprimanded NATO allies for refusing to help the United States in the operation against Iran. The US leader called the alliance a "paper tiger" and referred to the allies as "cowards," emphasizing that Washington will remember their actions.
