Denmark was preparing for war with the USA in Greenland. This was reported by Danmarks Radio (DR).

Sappers with explosives were sent to the island. In the event of an invasion, they were to destroy the runways at the airports in Nuuk and Kangerlussuaq to prevent the landing of American troops. Additionally, blood supplies were urgently being formed to assist potential casualties.

Earlier, California Governor Gavin Newsom stated that Denmark needs to "sleep with one eye open" due to President Donald Trump's claims on Greenland. In turn, American Energy Secretary Chris Wright explained that the White House chief allegedly never had plans to invade Greenland. According to the official, such rhetoric from the current US administration was chosen to encourage Europe to strengthen its defense, develop, and be stronger partners.
