Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in an interview with the British broadcaster BBC, acknowledged that he has a very bad feeling regarding the impact of the war with Iran on the peace process in Ukraine, LETA reports, citing UKRAINSKA PRAVDA.
Zelensky called on U.S. President Donald Trump and U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer to meet and find common ground, making this appeal after Trump again criticized Starmer.
The President of Ukraine also stated that he has a "very bad feeling" about the impact of the conflict in the Middle East, noting that peace negotiations regarding Ukraine are "constantly being postponed. And the reason for this is only one — the war with Iran."
The President of Ukraine arrived for a visit to London on Tuesday.
In an effort to limit the rise in oil prices caused by the war with Iran, the U.S. eased sanctions imposed on Russian oil trade.
The U.K. is among the Western countries that stated they would not ease sanctions on Russian oil following this U.S. move.
London also called for maintaining pressure on Russia.
Since the beginning of 2026, Ukraine, Russia, and the U.S. have held several rounds of trilateral negotiations. In January and early February, delegations met in Abu Dhabi, then negotiations took place in Geneva in mid-February.
A new meeting in Abu Dhabi was planned for early March.
According to Zelensky, the negotiations were scheduled for the period from March 5 to 8.
The agreement for the meeting was reached before Israel and the U.S. began a war against Iran on February 28.
