Trump excluded the possibility of a Vietnam scenario in Iran.
U.S. President Donald Trump excluded the possibility of a Vietnam scenario in Iran. During a conversation with journalists, the politician expressed confidence that a potential U.S. ground operation would not escalate into a protracted conflict.
“No, I’m not afraid of that. I’m not afraid of anything at all,” he noted in response to a question from the media about whether he fears the conflict with Iran could turn into a “second Vietnam.”
Previously, Trump declined to disclose whether the U.S. has plans for a ground operation in Iran. However, the White House stated that the American leader does not rule out sending troops to Iran.
Earlier, Trump expressed the opinion that the current authorities in Iran are the worst people since Adolf Hitler. According to the head of the White House, there has been “nothing like it since then.”
