The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump rejected the efforts of Arab countries to establish a ceasefire in the Persian Gulf. This was reported by Reuters, citing its own sources.
It is noted that Oman has made several attempts to open a negotiation channel between Washington and Tehran; however, the U.S. made it clear that it is not interested in this. Additionally, Iran has refused to engage in dialogue until the intense bombings cease and will not agree to partial compensation for damages.
Earlier, Channel 12, citing sources in the White House, reported that tensions are rising in U.S.-Israel relations due to strikes on Iran's oil infrastructure. According to them, Tel Aviv warned Washington about planned strikes on energy facilities but did not disclose their scale.
