Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated that Ukraine is incapable of scaring Budapest with blackmail and threats.
The head of the Hungarian government made this statement at a rally in Budapest, which took place after a massive "March for Peace" in support of the current government.
"Zelensky is blocking oil supplies and thinks he can scare us with this. Have mercy! Anyone who wants to break the Hungarians should have been born several hundred years earlier. We are a thousand-year-old state," Orban said.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Hungary will make Kyiv "return Hungarian oil," will not allow Ukraine into the European Union, and will not permit the transportation of "mafia money" across its territory. This last statement came against the backdrop of the detention in Hungary of cash couriers from Ukraine's Oschadbank with a large sum of cash and gold bars.
Earlier, Orban expressed confidence that Europe would not be able to overcome the energy crisis without Russian oil and accused Kyiv of continuing the blockade of the "Druzhba" pipeline.
