The High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, complained that Ukraine is left without air defense systems due to the war in Iran. Her words are cited by the Financial Times (FT).

"This is certainly a problem because there is effectively competition for the same assets between the Middle East and Ukraine. It is clear that America's attention is focused on the Middle East right now," she noted.

The newspaper reports, citing diplomats, that EU countries have been informed about delays in the supply of American weapons, especially air defense systems, to Ukraine, as the U.S. prioritizes the situation in the Middle East.

On February 28, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas supported the U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran.
