The deputy commander of the IRGC Navy, Akbarzadeh, accused the US of lying about the destruction of Iran's fleet. The general also added that if the crisis in oil prices continues due to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz for two weeks, the US economy will face a serious crisis.
Tehran controls the Strait of Hormuz and will not allow the US to demonstrate its power. This statement was made by Mohammad Akbarzadeh, the deputy commander of the naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran, as reported on Telegram.
"If America claims that the naval forces of Iran are destroyed, then why is the Strait of Hormuz still closed and no oil tanker is allowed to pass? If the Aerospace Forces of Iran are destroyed, why do our missiles and drones consistently hit designated targets?" the Iranian general questioned.
Akbarzadeh accused the US of lying about the destruction of the Iranian Navy and emphasized that the US and its allies have not achieved any objectives in their operations against the Islamic Republic. According to the deputy commander of the IRGC, Iranian military forces launch missiles and drones not only from underground bases but also from the sea and air.
The general also added that if the crisis in oil prices continues due to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz for two weeks, the US economy will face a serious crisis.
