Iran reported the most powerful strike since the beginning of the war

Iranian shelling affected Israel, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the UAE. The Israeli army reported airstrikes against Iranian military personnel.

Iran launched new massive strikes against Israeli and American targets in the Middle East, state television Irib reported on Wednesday, March 11. This strike was described as "the most intense and powerful since the beginning of the war" and lasted for three hours, according to a statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which the channel cited, writes DW.

The strikes targeted Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv and Haifa, as well as the western part of Jerusalem. The Israeli army reported detecting missiles flying towards the country and activating air defense systems. AFP journalists reported hearing air raid sirens in Jerusalem and distant explosions.

Strike on the U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet Base

The IRGC also reported a volley of ballistic missiles aimed at the U.S. Navy's 5th Fleet base in Bahrain and three sites in the Kurdish region of Iraq, including Erbil. The IRGC also stated that no U.S. Navy ship "dared" to approach the Strait of Hormuz. This statement followed after U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright initially reported escorting an oil tanker through the strait but deleted the post just a few minutes later.

New Iranian attacks were recorded early Wednesday morning across the Persian Gulf region. Saudi Arabia reported intercepting seven ballistic missiles and seven drones in various parts of the country. Air raid signals were heard in Bahrain, and the UAE also reported interceptions.

Israeli Strikes

Meanwhile, the Israeli army published footage of airstrikes against Iranian military personnel preparing to launch drones towards Israel from western Iran. According to the army, Iranian military personnel were detected at a drone launch position, after which an Israeli drone struck and killed several of them just minutes before the planned attack.

The Israeli army also released new satellite images confirming the destruction of Iranian F-14 fighters at an airbase near Isfahan as a result of Israeli airstrikes earlier this week. The images show several damaged F-14s on the taxiways of the base, as well as the destruction of three aircraft shelters and another structure.

On March 8, the Israeli army reported the destruction of several F-14 fighters during strikes on Isfahan, as well as detection and air defense systems in the area. The F-14 Tomcat aircraft, manufactured in the U.S., were supplied to Iran before the Islamic Revolution of 1979 and are considered the last of the still operational ones.
