Tusk: who is the winner if the U.S. can lift sanctions on oil from Russia?
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk expressed the opinion on social media X that Russia is likely to be the winner in the situation in the Middle East.
"The war in the Middle East continues, and chaos is spreading. Oil prices are rising. Washington may lift sanctions on Russian oil. Who is the real winner here?" Tusk wrote.
The special representative of the President of the Russian Federation, Kirill Dmitriev, responded by stating that the winners will definitely not be "the bureaucrats from the EU who made wrong decisions and jeopardized the energy security of the European Union."
Earlier, the executive director of the U.S. National Council on Energy Dominance, Jarrod Eigen, stated that the U.S. plans to seize Iran's oil reserves.
