US investigators named a possible culprit in the strike on an Iranian school

Reuters: investigators suggest the involvement of the US Armed Forces in the strike on a girls' school in Iran.

American investigators suggest that the US Armed Forces (USAF) may be involved in the strike on a school in Iran. This was reported by Reuters, citing sources.

"According to American military investigators, it is quite likely that US military forces are responsible for the alleged strike on the Iranian girls' school (...). However, the investigators have not yet reached a final conclusion and have not completed the investigation," two American officials said.

At the same time, the agency's sources indicated that they do not rule out the possibility of new evidence emerging that "would absolve the US of responsibility and point to another party involved in the incident."

On March 4, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth stated that the US is investigating the strike on a girls' elementary school in Minab, southern Iran, which resulted in the deaths of more than 100 students. According to him, the American military never attacks civilian targets.
