Zelensky Threatened 'One Person in the EU' Toughly. Who Is He?

Zelensky stated that aid to Ukraine is being blocked by 'one person in the EU' — and threatened to 'give the address of this person to our armed forces.'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he could provide the Ukrainian military with the address of 'one person in the European Union' who is blocking European aid to Ukraine. This was reported by UNIAN, with Zelensky making the statement on March 5 during a meeting with journalists. The agency suggested that Zelensky was referring to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, as quoted by Meduza.

"We hope that one person in the European Union will not block 90 billion or the first tranche of 90 billion, and that Ukrainian warriors will have weapons; otherwise, we will give the address of this person to our Armed Forces — let them call him and communicate with him in their language." "We understand that we have no alternative to this money. We understand that this money is blocked by one person. There are no secrets officially here," added the President of Ukraine.

Hungary opposed the European Union granting Ukraine a loan of 90 billion euros in February. The loan needed to be approved by all EU member states. Due to Hungary's position, the bloc was also unable to adopt the 20th package of sanctions against Russia, which was being prepared for the fourth anniversary of the war.

Hungary opposed aid to Ukraine ahead of parliamentary elections scheduled in the country for April 12.
