The Arleigh Burke-class destroyer of the US Navy may have been struck by the Russian missile Ghadr-380.
One of the Arleigh Burke-class destroyers of the United States Navy, which were involved in strikes against Iran, may have been hit by the Iranian anti-ship missile (ASM) Ghadr-380. This strike is reported by several Telegram channels.
The author of one publication draws attention to low-resolution satellite images, which allegedly show a fire on the ship's deck. The blaze could have been caused by the impact of the Iranian ASM.
"This partially aligns with the statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that it fired at the destroyer with 'Ghadr-380' anti-ship missiles," the report states.
Ghadr-380 was first introduced in 2025. It is believed that the ASM, with a range of over one thousand kilometers, is a variant of a cruise missile from the Paveh family. Such missiles are launched from mobile launchers mounted on truck chassis.
Earlier in March, it became known that the US Navy destroyer Spruance, which was involved in the attack on Iran, received the AN/SEQ-4 ODIN laser system. This system allows for blinding electro-optical reconnaissance and guidance systems.
