The US Navy aircraft carrier 'Abraham Lincoln' left the area and headed towards the Indian Ocean after being struck from Iranian territory. This was reported by the press service of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The vessel was struck by four cruise missiles, after which the ship changed course and left the base area. "After the attack, the American aircraft carrier headed towards the Indian Ocean," the IRGC reported, according to the Iranian state television and radio company IRIB.
Earlier, the corps reported serious damage to a combat support vessel of the US Navy's Military Sealift Command as a result of a missile strike and stated that American ships remain within the reach of missiles and drones. Later, Washington announced that the US armed forces had "significantly destroyed" the main headquarters of the Iranian naval forces.
