Iranian drones struck an Australian military base in the United Arab Emirates, but no one was injured, said the Australian Defense Minister.
Richard Marles said that drones struck the Al Minhad airbase - the logistics hub for Australian operations in the Middle East near Dubai - on the first night of the war with Iran.
"Dozens of Australians have been working out of the headquarters in Al Minhad for many, many years," Marles said to the Australian television channel Seven Network on Tuesday, as reported by the Associated Press.
He stated: "They are all on site, all safe. We have over 100 personnel in the Middle East across various countries, but most of them are in the UAE, and this base is very important to us."
