Czech Prime Minister Babiš urged the EU to start negotiations with Putin.
Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš urged European Union (EU) leaders to start negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. His words are reported by the portal TN.CZ.
"European leaders have begun to talk about Europe negotiating with Putin. Previously, when [Hungarian Prime Minister] Viktor Orbán was with [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky and Putin, all of this was condemned," he stated.
Babiš also called on European countries to restore direct dialogue with Moscow. According to him, this is a necessary condition for a ceasefire.
Earlier, Andrej Babiš stated that the Czech Republic would not supply L-159 aircraft to Ukraine. According to him, Prague rules out further discussion on the sale of fighter jets to Kyiv, urging the Chief of General Staff to refrain from comments on this topic.
