The U.S. Sent a Group of Fighters to Attack Iran Over the Weekend - Media

The U.S. Air Force has sent F-35 fighters from Puerto Rico towards presumably military bases in the Middle East. Meanwhile, Israel has warned of the U.S. readiness to strike Iran as early as this weekend.

The U.S. Air Force has sent fifth-generation F-35A fighters from Puerto Rico to the Middle East.

The publication TWZ notes that these aircraft previously participated in the U.S. operation to overthrow Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. According to the portal, the F-35A group flew over the Atlantic Ocean and was spotted in Portugal.

The final destination of the fighters, as noted by TWZ, is not precisely known, but it is likely to be one of the U.S. Air Force bases in the Middle East. "The F-35A will be the latest tactical aircraft sent to the region," the publication states.

It is noted that "the F-35A fighters would provide the U.S. with additional capabilities to strike targets deep within Iran."

In turn, Israeli authorities informed foreign airlines that January 31 and February 1 could be a period of heightened danger in terms of security. In the event of the closure of Israeli airspace, foreign airlines will be given priority for departures.
