In the TV24 discussion "Press Club" on the issue of Greenland, European Parliament member ("United List"), initiator of the aid movement for Ukraine "Twitter Convoy" Reinis Poznyaks spoke, as reported by "Neatkarīga."
Poznyaks said that he finds it difficult to understand the situation, as the Americans have no restrictions at all. Moreover, Greenland at one point even asked the Americans to come and invest, but they did not do so.
At the same time, corridors of the European Parliament say that one of the main reasons the issue of seizing Greenland has suddenly become relevant is the desire to force Ukraine to agree to a peace plan.
Now Europe is forced to pay more attention to itself — to arm itself, send military forces to Greenland, while Ukraine is taking a back seat. R. Poznyaks is also inclined to think so. He cannot imagine that if the U.S. suddenly invades Greenland, it would be the end of Western civilization, which is already, to put it mildly, in an unstable position, and in the morning we would wake up in a completely different world.
