“Immediately!” Kalas reacted strongly to the ‘Oreshnik’ strike on Ukraine 0 10

The head of EU diplomacy, Kaia Kalas, called for new sanctions against Russia. This is how the Vice President of the European Commission reacted on the social network X to the strike by the Russian ballistic missile ‘Oreshnik’ on Ukraine.

“EU countries must increase their air defense stockpiles and immediately begin implementing their plans. We must also raise the cost of this war for Moscow even further, including by tightening sanctions,” Kalas wrote.

She added that she considers the use of the ‘Oreshnik’ a clear escalation against Ukraine and intended to warn Europe and the United States. According to Kalas, Russian leader Vladimir Putin is not seeking peace.

“Russia responds to diplomacy with new missiles and destruction,” she wrote.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on the strike by the ‘Oreshnik’ missile, requested air defense resources from Western countries. According to him, this attack loudly reminds all of Kyiv's partners that “support for Ukrainian air defense is a constant priority.”
