Spain's Prime Minister Sánchez: the U.S. attack on Venezuela creates a terrible precedent.

The U.S. attack on Venezuela and the kidnapping of its president Nicolás Maduro creates a terrible precedent. Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez criticized Washington at a press conference.

"Spain cannot recognize the legitimacy of military actions that are clearly illegal, violate international law, and whose sole apparent purpose is to change the government of another country in order to seize its natural resources," he said.

The politician emphasized that such actions create a "terrible and very dangerous precedent" that could push the world toward even greater instability and uncertainty.

It was previously reported that Colombia's Foreign Ministry would protest to the U.S. following threats from American President Donald Trump against Colombian leader Gustavo Petro.
