China Comments on the Abduction Operation of Maduro in Venezuela 0 78

The United States has disrupted the stability of international relations due to the operation to abduct Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro in Caracas. This was stated by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Mao Ning.

"The United States ignored the status of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro as the head of state, openly initiated a case and held a so-called court hearing in its domestic court, which seriously violated the state sovereignty of Venezuela and undermined the stability of international relations," she stated.

According to her, no country has the right to establish its own rules above international ones. According to the agency, China demanded the immediate release of Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro was abducted by U.S. law enforcement during a military operation on the territory of the Latin American country. The first court hearing took place on January 5, where Maduro denied his guilt in the crimes.
