Zelensky Took Umerov and Four Other Officials to Negotiations with Trump.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky went to negotiations with his American counterpart Donald Trump as part of a delegation. This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine on its Telegram channel.
"I will not speak on behalf of the American side, if I may, because that is President Trump's choice. I think our negotiating team is known to you," he stated.
Zelensky informed journalists about the composition of the Ukrainian delegation earlier on Saturday, December 27. It includes: Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, Minister of Economy Oleksiy Sobolev, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Hnatov, advisor to the head of the president's office Oleksandr Bevz, and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Serhiy Kyslytsia.
The meeting between Zelensky and Trump will take place on Sunday, December 28. The Ukrainian leader previously stated that the peace plan for Ukraine is 90 percent ready and will be a subject of discussion at the negotiations.
