The plane flying from Paris landed in Lyon due to an accident.

A plane from the French airline Air France made an emergency landing due to a technical malfunction. This was reported by the radio station RTL.

The aviation incident occurred on Saturday, December 20. The flight was en route from Paris to Ajaccio but was forced to make an unscheduled landing in Lyon around 6 PM local time. No passengers were injured.

Air France cited a "technical incident" as the reason for the emergency landing. Passengers on the Paris-Ajaccio flight interviewed by RTL admitted that at one point they heard a loud bang and felt a strong shaking. A passenger named Christelle stated that she saw a burning wing of the plane through the window.

Another passenger named Steven recounted that the incident happened when the plane was flying near the city of Clermont-Ferrand. "We were like sardines in a can; we had no control over the situation, we didn’t know what would happen," noted another passenger on the flight. She also mentioned that people on board began to panic.

According to a statement from Air France, after the "technical incident," the company chartered another plane to Bastia, which departed from Lyon airport at 9:45 PM local time.
