The head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen expressed the opinion that Russia directly threatens the security of European countries.
She wrote this post on the social media platform X. “Russia is targeting not only Ukraine. Its full-scale military economy poses a direct threat to our national and economic security,” proclaimed Ursula von der Leyen.
According to the politician, the indefinite freezing of Russian assets in the EU “can fundamentally change the situation for Ukraine and Europe.”
Earlier, the head of the European Commission stated that Russian assets would remain frozen until the European Union decides to unfreeze them. According to her, the decision to freeze Russian assets indefinitely could be a turning point for Ukraine and Europe.
