Resonance Consultancy has published the top 100 best cities in the world. The ranking evaluates a whole list of criteria in terms of living, working, and leisure.
In particular, the following indicators are analyzed: rental housing costs; the number of museums, amusement parks; the presence of universities; the number of direct flight destinations; business ecosystem; attractions, and more.
As in the previous year, the latest World’s Best Cities ranking is led by London (United Kingdom), New York (USA), and Paris (France). One might think that they have the cheapest rental housing.
The top ten best cities also includes:
Tokyo (Japan); Madrid (Spain); singapore city-state; Rome (Italy); Dubai (UAE); Berlin (Germany); Barcelona (Spain).
Sydney (Australia) is in 11th place, Beijing (China) is in 15th, Copenhagen (Denmark) is in 33rd, Prague (Czech Republic) is in 38th, Warsaw (Poland) is in 43rd, Athens (Greece) is in 74th, and Lyon (France) is in 92nd.
The ranking is closed by Bucharest (Romania), Birmingham (United Kingdom), and Doha (Qatar).
Riga was not on the list, nor were cities from other Baltic countries. To compile the ranking, experts studied cities with populations of over one million people.
