President Zelensky thanks Europe for continuing assistance.
Russian drones are already penetrating deep into Ukrainian territory, and soon they will go even further, said Taras Mishak, a senior officer of communication for the 59th Separate Assault Brigade of Unmanned Systems "Steppe Predators" named after Yakiv Handziuk, on the air of Kyiv24.
"The situation with enemy drones has become very complicated. The Russians are penetrating quite deeply into the rear, and moving within a 10-15 kilometer zone from the front line is very dangerous," the military explained.
Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to receive Patriot, NASAMS, IRIS-T, and Hawk systems thanks to contributions from the Netherlands, Germany, Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and with the support of the Baltic states, stated Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to him, the procurement of air defense systems for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is funded by contributions from the Baltic states, whose contributions are small compared to those of the aforementioned countries.
Zelensky emphasized that filling the international corridor "List of Priority Needs for Ukraine" (PURL) remains a key factor for new supplies, which is why Kyiv has begun negotiations regarding a "second round" of funding.
"The Americans have not blocked anything; supplies to Ukraine continue. Secondly, we have supplies of air defense systems - including Hawk, IRIS-T, NASAMS, Patriot - we are receiving these systems. The Americans have unlocked the possibility of purchasing Patriot not only missiles but also systems. The issue is purely about money," Zelensky summarized.
