Ukrainian intelligence representative Oleg Alexandrov reported on high-level interactions.
During a massive Russian missile and drone attack on Ukraine, at least three Chinese reconnaissance satellites were detected over the western regions of the country, which bore the brunt of the assault. This was reported by the channel "Militarny," which analyzed data from the monitoring service Heavens Above.
In particular, the Yaogan 33, Yaogan 33-03, and Yaogan 33-04 satellites were observed over the Lviv region, collectively making 9 passes over the area between 00:00 and 11:30 AM. Later, the optical reconnaissance satellite Yaogan 34 joined them. The publication notes that the orbital parameters allow more than 60 satellites of the Yaogan series of various types to operate over Ukraine. These satellites are capable of conducting optical, radar, and electronic reconnaissance.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service stated that China has provided satellite data to Russia for strikes on Ukrainian territory. Intelligence representative Oleg Alexandrov reported on high-level interactions between the two countries in conducting satellite reconnaissance aimed at identifying and studying strategic objects, including those belonging to foreign investors.
Previously, Russia launched a large-scale combined strike on Ukrainian territory. According to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 496 drones and 53 missiles of various bases were used in the attack. The air defense forces intercepted and suppressed 478 aerial targets, including 439 drones, 1 air-launched ballistic missile X-47M2 "Dagger," 32 cruise missiles X-101/"Iskander-K," and 6 "Kalibr" missiles.
The most significant destruction was recorded in the Lviv region, where at least four people were killed and four others were injured. In the village of Lapaevka near Lviv, one residential building was completely destroyed, and eight others were damaged. Part of Lviv was left without electricity, and public transport was suspended in the city.
Strikes were also carried out on critical infrastructure facilities in the Ivano-Frankivsk region and Zaporizhzhia, leaving tens of thousands of people without electricity. Damage to power lines led to power outages in parts of the Cherkasy region.
