Aging begins much earlier than commonly believed. According to specialists, the first age-related changes in the body can start as early as 25. This is not only about wrinkles or gray hair but also about chronic fatigue, decreased energy, memory impairment, sleep disturbances, and other signals that many mistakenly attribute to stress and overwork.

Everyone Ages Differently

Geriatrician Olga Tkacheva notes that the aging processes occur individually for each person. Some people maintain activity and good health for many years, while others face age-related changes much earlier. Lifestyle plays a significant role in this.

Experts advise paying attention to the level of physical activity, blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose levels, as well as harmful habits. According to experts, lifestyle determines a large part of the factors affecting the rate of aging.

The First Signs May Appear After 30

One of the first indicators is the condition of the skin. It may lose elasticity, become drier and duller. Doctors recommend not to ignore a sudden deterioration in skin condition or hair loss, as such changes may be related not only to age but also to hormonal imbalances or vitamin deficiencies.

Other symptoms that should raise concern include:

  • constant irritability and emotional exhaustion;

  • chronic fatigue even after rest;

  • worsening concentration;

  • slower recovery after exertion;

  • frequent pain in the back, neck, joints, or headaches;

  • worsening sleep quality.

According to specialists, after 30, the body requires more time to recover, and excessive physical exertion without adequate rest can only increase stress on the body.

How to Slow Down Age-Related Changes

Doctors emphasize that premature aging is not a sentence. It is advisable to start with a basic examination: a general blood test, biochemistry, checking glucose, cholesterol, vitamin D, ferritin levels, and thyroid hormones.

Daily habits are equally important. Specialists recommend maintaining adequate hydration, consuming vegetables and fruits daily, including Omega-3-rich foods in the diet, walking more, and regularly being in daylight.

It is also worth giving up smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, focusing on strength training, and learning to manage stress through rest, breathing practices, meditation, or other methods of psychological relief.

Experts remind us: accelerated aging rarely begins with deep wrinkles. Much more often, the body sends signals in the form of fatigue, sleep problems, decreased performance, and worsening well-being, as reported by bb.lv. The sooner a person pays attention to these signs and adjusts their lifestyle, the higher the chances of maintaining health, activity, and good quality of life for many years.
